Can visual storytelling change how people engage with space?
AwareHorizon was an exploratory science communication pilot examining how space subjects could be framed through three different storytelling formats. It produced a small set of cinematic, technical and philosophical communication pieces.
CINEMATIC VISUAL STORYTELLING
Image-led sequences built for emotional response and retention over explanation.
EDUCATIONAL / TERMINAL-STYLE SCIENCE COMMUNICATION
Measurement-forward, method-first presentation with explicit uncertainty.
PHILOSOPHICAL STORYTELLING
Open questions framed through dialogue rather than conclusions.
The pilot's outcome is the AwareHorizon site and content system, together with qualitative design observations from building across the three formats. It does not identify a quantitative winner or publish a causal claim about audience engagement.
This was an exploratory sample, not a statistical experiment. Posting cadence and sample sizes were not controlled, so no statistically valid ranking of the formats is reported.
Space culture / science communication
The pilot is retained as a record of an exploratory design process rather than presented as a formal quantitative result.
